The Push is a youth music organisation. Through a wide range of music related programs we aim to educate, entertain, inspire and empower young people throughout Victoria.
The Push is Victoria’s key youth music organisation. Established in 1988, The Push has produced successful programs throughout regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with the aim to promote, present and nurture young Victorian musicians. To date more than 600,000 young Victorians have participated in Push programs.
The Push is a non-profit organisation, with a small core staff and more than 200 volunteers. The Push seeks to connect youth to the music industry through a safe and supportive framework that promotes affordable entertainment that is free of alcohol, drugs, and smoke. A key part of the success is the vocational, organisational and technical training programs offered to young people.
Throughout its history, The Push has developed a range of programs aimed at assisting young people to enter the music industry and has gained an unmatched reputation for staging industry renowned youth specific events.
